N.S.W. ELECTIONS.
POSTPONEMENT UNLIKELY. ALL PARTIES PREPARING. By Telegraph.—rre*a Afesn.—Copyright. Sydney, Jan. 16. Mr. Levy denies the statement attributed to him that in the event of the Government attempting to postpone the elections he would resign, stating that such a threat, on his part would be most indiscreet and improper. It is now generally believed that Mr. MeGirr’s effort to secure a postponement of the elections will fail. Sydney, Jan. 17. Despite the present uncertainty of the political situation, all parties are actively preparing for an early election.
