An amended Anglo-Belgian Pact provides that in the event of a direct, unprovoked attack on Belgian territory Britain shall immediately come to the aid of the Belgians with all her naval, military and aerial forces. Belgium undertakes to employ all her military and aerial forces in defending the frontiers and not to conclude any agreement incompatible with the Pact. La£t week it was decided at a meeting of the British and Belgian delegations at the Cannes Conference to draw up an Anglo-Belgian pact, under which Belgium will take all necessary 'measures for guarding her frontiers in exchange for a British guarantee of aid in the event o-f attack.
