FREIGHT ON WOOL.
A REDUCTION ANNOUNCED. TO OPERATE NEXT WEEK. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Commonwealth and Dominion Line, the Federal Steam Navigation Company, the New Zealand Shipping Company, and the Shaw, Savill and Albion Company announce a reduction in the rates of freight on wook The reduction applies to all sales of wool bought on and after Monday, the 16th inst., and to all consignments of wool shipped on and after Monday, the IGth instant.
The new rates, until further notice, arc as follows: Greasy wool to the United Kingdom and Continental ports within the Havre and Hamburg range and Boston and New York Id per lb., plus 10 per cent, primage; scoured ana ■slipe wool to all above destinations l%d per lb., plus 10 per cent, primage.
