SUICIDE AT OPUNAKE.

TIRED OF LIFE. (From Our Own Correspondent.) The residents were somewhat stirred on Thursday evening by the news that a well known and respected resident (Mr. Geo. Taylor) had been found with his head badly shattered and a shot gun lying alongside the body. A man named Chris Carr, on Wednesday evening found that his whare door had been forced open. Thinking it had been done by stock he did not pay any great attention to the matter. In the morning he found the head of a pick which had been used to force the door operand immediately he thought of burglars. On finding his cash intact, he gave the* matter no further thought. A few hours fater he missed his gun, and made inquiries and went in company with another person to deceased’s house and found Taylor as described above. A note was found on the table written by deceased stating that he was tired of life.
