THE GENERAL ELECTION.
THE LABOR CANDIDATES. The New Zealand Labor Party is already making preparations for the general election. Mr. Moses Ayrton, the national secretary, has just returned from a visit to Canterbury and Nelson, where he has Been"conferring with local branches. He informed a Dominion reporter that the following candidates had been nominated by branches: — Christchurch. —Messrs. D. G. Sullivan, M.P. for Avon; E. J; Howard, M.P. for Christchurch South; F. Cooke, H. T. Armstrong, W. Renn, and H. Hunter, and Rev. J. K. Archer. Wellington.—Messrs. P. Fraser, M.P. for Wellington Central; C. H. Chapman, A. W. Croskery, C. H. Snow, R. McKeen and A. L. Monteith. Buller.—Mr.' H. Holland. Mr. Ayrton will visit the Otago, Southland, West Coast, Taranaki and Hawke’s Bay districts in the near future.
