A big double programme of swimming will be held in the Stratford baths tomorrow (Thursday), and will occupy both the afternoon and evening. THE KING’S CINEMA THEATRE. “THE GILDED LILY.” Original dances that have never been seen on the screen are executed by Mae Murray/ the superb star and dancer, in her newest Paramount super production, “The Gilded Lily.” Miss Murray is Dillian Drake, hostess of a popular ifew York private club, and her dances, done in one of the most lavish cabaret sets ever built for the screen, are the real events in the picture. One is an adaptation of a Spanish dance, in which Miss Murray wears a modified Carmen costume consisting of a dress of unusual cut made entirely of spangles, topped off by the proverbial red hat. Another is a bubble dance in which the cabaret is gaily decorated with all kinds of balloons. Miss Murray, in a sensational costume, makes her entrance out of an enormous basket of balloons, and then does many astonishing stunts with a large white balloon while she whisks around the room. Lowell Sherman is the leading man.
