GOOD SALE AT NAPIER. IMPROVEMENT IN PRICES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. The second wool sale of the season wag held to-day. Bidding from a large bench of buyers, representative of all sections of the trade, was brisk throughout, and 90 per cent, of the catalogue of 20,000 bales was sold under the hammer. Pnoes generally showed an improvement. There was an advance of id on coarse, Id on medium, and lid on super Romney. The range of prices is:— Fine halftired average 12d to 12jd, medium halfbred inferior 8d to 9d, coarser halfbred average 9id to 92d, fine crossbreds super BJd to 9 Ad, average 7id to Bsd, inferior 6d to 7d, medium crossbred super to Bsd, average 6d to 7Jd, inferior 41d to 5Jd, coarse crossbred super 5Jd to 7d, average 41d to ssd, inferior 3Jd to 4id, low crossbred super to sid, average 4d to 4Jd, inferior 3d to 4d, hoggets super Bjd to 9|d, medium 6d to Bd, coarse 4id to 6id, lambs super (46-48’s) 12Jd to 13d, medium (46-48’s) Bid to 9id, super (44-46’s) 6Jd to Btd, super (40-44’s) 61d to 7jd, seedy and inferior 34-Jd, bellies and pieces crossbreds good to super 4d to sjd, crossbred low to medium 2d to 3 Jd, crutchings medium to good 22d to 4d, inferior to seedy no bid to 2d, locks crossbred lid.
