Alexander, W. B. Chaney, J. McLeod, and O. W. Sole. An apology for absence was received from Mr. W. T. Hookham. Matters in connection with the February meeting were discussed and it was decided to apply to the Railway Department for a special horse train to Hawera on the last night of the meeting. bo obviate the necessity of trainers staying over the flight. Four new members were elected to the club, and the resignation of one member was accepted. The extent to wh ch a favorite horseman is followed by the public may be gained from the fact that in the twenty-three races in which H. Gray rode at the A.R.C. Summer Meeting, horses on which he had the mount carried no less a sum than £59,929, six dividends being returned of the value of £28.699 7s, leaving the punters to face a deficit of .£31,229 13s.
