POSITION IN BRITAIN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. London, Jan. The index of wholesale commodity prices at the end of December was 163.1, a fall of 3.2 points on the month. The fall during the year was 35J per cent., leaving prices 62 per cent, above those ruling in 1913. The monthly average was 189, compared with 321 the previous year. The fall is unparalleled for many years. —Times Service.
