BELFAST’S MENACE.

MANY ARMED HOOLIGANS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Jan. 8, 5.5 p.m. London, Jan. 7. At an inquest on nineteen victims of the recent Belfast disorders the police inspector declared about seven thousand Belfast men of the hooligan type possessed revolvers. which, it is believed, came from Ai lea. Until these are disarmed he couid not see a remedy of the menace. The armed men belonged to no particular party. The coroner was of opinion that there is a large Bolshevik element fanning the sectarian strife in order to capture plunder. The jury’s verdict was wilful murder against members of an unlawful association. —Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
