THE MOUNTAIN.

HOLIDAY TRAFFIC. MANY VISITORS TO HOSTEL. During the last week there have been daily ascents of the mountain by parties from the North Egmont hostel. On Saturday six climbers reached the summit and a further party went to the top yesterday. Delightful weather has been experienced during the week. The house has been vpry well patronised during the holidays, and accommodation is practically booked up at present. Yesterday saw a large number of casual visitors make the trip, about forty cars arriving during the day. In " addition to parties who have climbed to. the top others have visited Dawson’s Falls, Bell’s Falls, and the many other scenic spots in Which the park abounds. The old house has also accommodated many visitors. There are a good number of bookings of accommodation right through January, and already a number of inquiries have been received from prospective visitors in February.
