INFLUENZA IN BRITAIN.

NO ALARMING SYAfPTOMS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received January 6, 5.5 p.m. London, Jan. 5. Though the weekly deaths from influenza in all the large towns rose from 128 to US in December, experts point out that the disease did not reach the epidemic stage, and no case has yet been reported of the same type which caused 2450 deaths weekly in 1918 and a thousand in 1919. Doctors agree that the present is only the pre-war three day type.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
