Two nurses of the New Plymouth Hospital —Nurse Smith and Niirse Collins—have secured the highly creditable record of sharing with a Christchurch nurse the honor of heading the list of the successful candidates at the recent State examinations. The Taranaki successes are: Passed First. —Inez B. Smith and Norma C. R. Collins (New Plymouth Hospital); Mary G. Wilson (Christchurch Hospital). Gained 75 per cent, marks and over.— Margaret Smart and Erice Fairbrother (New Plymouth Hospital). Also passed—Elsie C. Evans and Margaret J. Merron (New Plymouth Hospital) ; Barbara Manion (Hawera Hospital).
