AEROPLANE DOWN.
ACCIDENT AT HAWERA. OCCUPANTS NOT INJURED. By Telegraph.—Association. Hawera, Last Night. An aeroplane piloted by Captain cer, with Mr. Salter as a passenger, rived on the racecourse from Wanganui i late this afternoon. After replenishing, its tank a start was made for Raglan. The machine rose sharply to clear electric wires, but did not have enough way on, and dropped suddenly, smashing the propellor and under-carriage. The occupants were not injured.
