After a Cabinet meeting Mr. Dooley (the Premier) said he did not propose to announce the date of the elections until he had delivered his policy speech. Cabinet decided to put into immediate operation the clause in the new Electors Act providing for compulsory enrolment. The new taxation proposals provide for the abolition of the super-tax.—Aus.-N.Z.
