New South Wales gained nine firsts, Victoria five, New Zealand two. The walk was not decided.

880 Yards.—Taylor (New Zealand) 1, Hutton (N.S.W.) 2, Newman (Victoria) 3. Won by 25 yards. Time, Imin 58 l-ssec — a State record. The winner cleared out at the furlong and scored comfortably. Three Miles Running.—Webber (New Zealand) 1, Kohlman (Victoria) 2, Page (Victoria) 3. At two miles Webber was running strongly, watching the Victorians. When the bell sounded the New Zealander cleared out, led by fifteen yards at the entrance to the straight, and finished with grand courage, winning by 50 yards. Time, 15min 13 1-lOsec.

440 Yards Hurdles. —Edwards (N.S.W.) 1, Edmunds (Victoria) 2, Bonnet (Adelaide) 3. Edwards led throughout and won easily by two yards. Time, 59 l-ssec. Mile Relay Race.—South Africa (Bukes, Kinsem, Furlong and’Johnstone). Won by thirty yards. Time, 3min 40 4-ssec.

The mile walk ended in an appeal, on which decision was reserved till Tuesday.
