EVERYBODY’S. LAST NIGHT OF JAMES OLIVER CUR. WOOD’S “ISOB1EL.” Some of the most beautiful backgrounds and settings ever conceived for a photo-play make “Isohel, or “The Trail’s End,” from the famous novel by James Oliver Curwood, one of the most talked of productions of recent months. This film drama, concluding tonight, at Everybody’s, was taken in the Far North, in the land of perpetual ice and snow. The exterior scenes are splendid examples of artistry by the modern cinematographer. Those in the production were chosen with an eye to charm and beauty, and the result will please the most hardened critic. New effects in interior lighting make the interior scenes as dainty and tasteful as the exteriors. Jane Novak and House Peters head an all-star cast unique in its excellence. The bill includes gazettes and the big Vita comedy “Holy Smoke.” The admission prices, including the new tax, are 2/2 and 1/8.

THE PEOPLE’S. WM. RUSSELL IN “SINGING RIVER.” To-night’s new bill at the People’s presents the big Fox production “Singing River,” featuring' virile Bill Russell. This is a western story about rustlers, robbers, dead-beats, and a pretty girl. Russell has several fierce fights on his hands, and goes through with them in thrilling Russell fashion. In the east with him are Vola Vale. Clark Cornstock. Jack Roseleigh, Arthur Morrison. Jack McDonald, Jack Hull, Louis King and Charles King. The bill includes the big “Sunshine” comedy “The Hayseeds.” and Fox gazettes. Prices of admission, including the new tax, are - 1/8 and

STRASBURG CLOCK EXHIBITION. Human ingenuity has accomplished much that is truly wonderful, but it would be difficult to find anything more clever of its kind than that miracle of automatic mechanism, the Strasburg clock model, now being exhibited at Hookers’ sample rooms, Egmont Street. As the model is to return io its home in Alsace-Lorraine at the termination of its New Zealand tour. New Plymouth folks are advised to take the opportunity offered and see this masterpiece of clock-makers’ art.
