NEW SOUTH WALES TEACHERS. MATCH AT FEILDING. i By Telegraph—Press Association. Feilding, Last Night. The New South Wales teachers’ cricket team defeated Feilding to-day by 255 to 124. The visitors’ best bats were Harvey 79, O’Neill 61, Watson 27, Buckett 23, Murray 21, McMulian 18. Bowling for Feilding, Power took five wickets for 85, Brammell three for 53, Stewart two for 54. Feilding’s best scorers were: McLean, 47, run out; Trevena 21. For New South Wales Gill took two wickets for 10, Watson, three for 19; O’Neill, three for 55. A New Zealand teachers’ team plays the visitors at Auckland on January 16 and 17. Mr. J. Fanning (Hamilton Post Office) selects the home team. CANTERBURY B v. SOUTHLAND. Christchurch, Last Night. The Canterbury B team beat Southland by an innings and ninety runs. Southland’s first innings produced 168 (A. Hamilton 36, Kavanagh 60, Gleeson 26). McLachlan took three wickets for 42, Rix two for 15, Thomas two for 25, Gregory three for 24. The second innings produced 168 (Gleeson 40, A. Hamilton 44, J. Hamilton 18). Rix took three wickets for 46, McLachlan three for 27, and McEwin two for 75. MANAWATU v. NELSON Palmerston N., Last Night. ( In the match Manawatu v. Nelson the former made 79 in their first innings (K. Hodder 31). Nelson, in their first innings, knocked up 176 (Langbein 38, Kennitz 35). Manawatu, in their second innings, have lost two wickets for 50 (Barraud 21 not out).
