EVERYBODY’S. “FAITH OF THE STRONG.” “Faith of the Strong,” in which Selzniek Pictures presents Mitchell Lewis, will be seen at 'Everybody’s to-night The plot of the story concerns the experiences of a typical French-Canadian woodsman whose passion for recklessness is overshadowed by the faith which came to him through the love of a woman of the North. Paul Le Rue, the character portrayed in this attraction by Mitchell Lewis is the leading figure of the lawless gang which holds sway over the lumber camp of Louis Rey. The other side of the settlement is under the watchful care of a kind-hearted minister. Le Rue presents the minister’s attempt to give him counsel, and he threatens to burn their church. Le Rue has no respect for God, and it is not until the appearance in the camp of an immoral gambler, Jean Follet. that the minister has an opportunity to speak to him. From that point on the developments aire swift and filled with the keenest interest. The climax is dramatic, and unexpected, and the picture constitutes an entertainment patrons are urged not to miss. The bill includes gazettes .and Travelog and “The Lost City.” The matinee to-morrow commences at 2 p.m. THE PEOPLE'S. LAST NIGHT OF MADGE KENNEDY. Madge Kennedy in her bright Goldwyn production, “Strictly Confidential,” a fascinating comedy-drama, concludes to-night at the People’s. The bill includes gazette, comedy and “The /Diamond Queen.” To-morrow’s change presents •Claire Whitney and Martha Mansfield in Selznick’s latest offering, “Mothers of Men.” The greatest appeal known to the human race is mother love. It is even stronger than that which stirs men to lay down their lives at the call of their country. Mother love impels the human race to dare to overcome any obstacle to the full enjoyment of life, liberty, and happiness. fit is a deepseated love that neither time nor distance. wealth or poverty, can utter or cause to decay for it is the strongest chain ever welded. This is the appeal you will find to your heartstrings in the Selznick feature, “Mothers of Men.
THE STRASBURG CLOCK. Strasburg is famous for its remarkable clock. It is not the privilege of everyone to see it, but just now residents of New Plymouth have an opportunity of viewing the wonderful working model, which is an exact replica on a "smaller scale. The Angel figures— Christ and the Apostles—do their procession each quarter of an hour. The cock crows, while Peter turns his back upon the Saviour as Satan appears. The various Scientific dials which are all working as on the great original are truly wonderful and are of great educational value. The exhibition is being held at Hookers’ sample rooms, Eginont Street, every afternoon from 2 till 5 and 7 till 10.
