INSANITY AND CRIME. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Received Dec. 28, 8.15 p.m. London, Dec. 28. The Daily Chronicle gives prominence to the suggestion of the New Zealand Inspector-General of Mental Hospitals that where a plea of insanity is raised in criminal cases notice thereof be given before the trial, enabling a special medical board to examine the accused and report to the judge.
