GERMAN CAMOUFLAGE.
HIDDEN HOWITZERS UNEARTHED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn. —Copyright. Berljn, Dec. 25. The Allied Commission has discovered 247 more howitzers concealed in the Rockstrow works near Dresden, in addition to 340 found in November, totalling sevenfold the number the Versailles Treaty permitted, to Germany’s whole army. The account adds picturesque details of the manner in which the Partners’ firm camouflaged the miniature arsenal under the guise of a ladies’ lavatory, and then made a great display of compunction over the first revelation for the purpose of throwing the scent off the second plant.
