A murder recalling Landru’s exploits has: been discovered by the discovery of the body oi Irene WHlkin*. a spinster, aged 30 years, on the roadside near Bournemouth. Wilkins advertised for employment, and received a telegram to go to Bournemouth, where she would be met by a motor-car. Her dead body was found' the next morning with the head battered, apparently by heavy motor tools, and with marks where it had been thrown irom the car. A telegram similar to that received by Wilkins was sent to a London nurse who visited Bournemouth, hat she went to the wrong station and failed to meet the man. It was subsequently found that the address given was fictitious, and she probably escaped Wilkins’ fate.
