HAWKE CUP MATCH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Masterton, Dec. 24. The Hawke Cud match was continued in fine weather this morning. Wairarapu completed their second innings for 254. Rangitikei wanted 131 runs to win, and made 136 for three wickets, thus winning the cup by seven wickets. E. Smith was not out with 61, Cameron 47. OTAGO v. CANTERBURY. Christchurch, Dec. 25. The Otago-Canterbury match was comimenced on Saturday in beautiful weather, and on a fine wicket. Otago made 221 (Sicdeberg 26, Shepherd 48, Eckhold 24, McMullan 39, Galland 17, Carlton 12, Westbrook 14). Read took five wickets for 70 runs, Sandman three for 58, and Hayes two for 28. When stumps were drawn Canterbury had made 15 without losing a wicket. Christchurch, Last Night. Canterbury, in their first innings, made 307 (Blunt 40, Worker 44, Brosnahan 43, Grant 78, Patrick 19, Hayes 10, Sandman 13, Mcßeth 20). Casey took four wickets for 74: Carlton, three for 83 ; Torrance, one for 91 : Shepherd, one for 25. Otago have two wickets down for 76 (Shepherd 51; Westbrook not out 12). N.S.W. V. VICTORIA. New South Wales have lost six wickets for 191 (Andrew not out 87, Hendry not out ~36). The wicket is good. Received Dec. 27, 12.20 a.m. Melbourne, Dec. 26. New South Wales, in their first innings, made 254 (Andrews 115, Hendry 38). McDonald took five wickets for 65. Victoria have lost nine wickets for 292 (Pars isz, Kansrord 53, Ryder 38). NORTH v. SOUTH TARANAKI. The following team has been selected from those available to represent North Taranaki against South Taranaki at rfftwera on Saturday next, 31st inst.
