HAWKE CUP MATCH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Masterton, Last Night. The Hawke Cup match between Rangitikei and Masterton was continued this afternoon. Rangitikei continued their first innings, which produced 292. Wairarapa, who made 168 in ( ; their first innings, have lost seven wickets for 221 in their second innings. SOUTHLAND v. SOUTH CANTERBURY. Timaru, Last Night. The match Southland v. South Canterbury commenced to-day. The home team scored 307 and Southland 53 for three wickets. NORTH AND SOUTH TARANAKI. In the Junior Grade the following players have bcei. chosen to represent North against South Taranaki, in a match to be played at New Plymouth on December 31, play to commence at 10.30.: —Taylor, Fowler, Kettle W. (Waitara) ; Kinsella O, Trevalla, R. (New Plymouth) ; Bullot, Berg (Western \Park) ; Carey G., Carey T.. Fitzpatrick (Harbor Works). Emergencies: Fletcher (High School). Papps (Harbor Works), J. O’Neill (Urenui), Dickson (Technical College). The emergencies are not in the order as . published, the selector reserving the right to choose the emergency most suitable to fill a possible vacancy.
