STRATFORD TOURNAMENT. The arrangements for the New Zealand bantam championship, to be held in the Town Hall, Stratford, on ti e first race night, are almost complete. The box plan is open at Wilson Btfos., Broadway, and patrons are advised to book their seats early to avoid disappointment. as there will not bo a vacant seat on the night. Applications for 40 ringside seats are already in the secretary’s hands, but will not be reserved before the evening of the first day of the booking -n order to give all patrons a fair chance. The professional boxers for the big fight arrive early next, week, and will finish training ’n Stratford. Tie amateur bouts will be between the best amateurs in Taranaki, and patrons can be sure of their moneys worth. “Spearmint. ’ of Truth, predicts it to be “The fight of the year.” They pa : > in America £25 per seat to see boxing not near as clever and fast as that between these men.
