THE WOOL MARKET. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Sydney, Dec. 20. The ninth series of wool sales has closed. Compared with the November series the rates for fine merinos increased 10 to 12% per cent., strong haired wools increased 12% per cent., and pure crossbreds and comebacks Increased 15 per cent. LONDON PRODUCE MARKET. Messrs. A. H. Turnbull and Co. have received cabled advice from Messrs. W. Weddel and Co., Ltd., London, Ln regard to the dairy produce market, reading as follows: Danish butter, 182 s to 186 s (210 s to 2125) N.Z. cheese, first grade, white, 90s to 98s (100 s to 104 s) ; N.Z. cheese, first grade, colored, 90s to 96s (98s to 100 s) ; market quiet. N.Z. butter, first grade, 150 s to 156 s (170 s to 180 s) ; exceptionally high grade, 158 s; market weak, irregular. FARMERS’ CO-OP. REPORT. At Eltham on Wednesday there was a fair yarding. We quote: Medium hoggets 8s 6d, fat cows to £4 10s, young store cows to £2 10s, boners 20s to 30s, yearling heifers dull of sale, best Holsteins making £3. On Thursday at Hawera there was a good yarding of cattle. Prices were on a par with late rates. Fat cows £4 6s to £5 10s, good fresh young cows £2 to £2 15s, others £1 to 355, bulls £2 to £2 12s 6d, 3 and 4-year forward bullocks £3, 3-year black polled heifers £4 ss, Shorthorn heifers £l, porkers £2 4s. slips 16s to 19s, suckers 5f to 6s. . On Friday at Waverlej r store cows unade 31s to £2 4s, heifers in calf £2 Ils, dairy cows £8 Ills to £6 10s, 4-year bullocks £4, light plough mare £35.
