STOCK INSPECTOR’S DEATH. By Telegraph.—Press Association. ’ Invercargill Last Night. George Albert Shands, stock inspector at Lumsden, was thrown from a horse while riding over jumps yesterday and sustained injuries from which he died at the Gore hospital to-day. A GUN ACCIDENT. Rotorua, Dec. 21. This morning early, a boy of nine years, son of Amotawa. lifted his father’s gun and pulled the trigger. The charge struck Togo Morrison, who was cleaning boots on the other side of the road, lodging in his chest, arms and loins, but missing vital parts. The victim is in the King George V. Hospital. MAN FOUND DEAD. Eltham, Dec. 21. John Considine, aged 47', a single man, was found dead by his workmates on the Te Roti railway works this morning. Deceased was a native of Ireland, and his relatives are unknown. SUDDEN DEATH AT TE ROTI RAIDWAY WORKS. The death occurred suddenly yesterday morning at the Te Roti railway works of John Considine, one of the department’s employees. The deceased, who was 47 years of age, was found by his workmates at about 5 o’clock lying on the ground outside his whare. He was quifea dead when found, and fully dressed. Considine was a native of Ireland, and apparently had no relatives in New Zealand. A post mortem examination was made yesterday by Dr. H. A.
