Due New Plymouth January. TfSR RARAWA. The Rarawa is scheduled to leave Onehunga at the usual time this afternoon for New Plymouth, and should arrive here at 5.30 o’clock to-morrow morning. The vessel will remain In port until Saturday night, sailing for Onehunga at 8.30 p.m.
CORINNA FOR WELLINGTON. 'Die loading of the Cjrinna was proceeding yesterday, and it was expected to counplete at 10 o’clock last night, fhe vessel being timed to sail at that hour for Wellington. Her cargo consists of 8140 crates of cheese for transhipment to the Port Victor and Waflhate. THE RAMA SAILS. 'Hie small steamer Rama, which arrived from Wellington on Tuesday with' general cargo, completed discharging on Tuesday night and sailed for Wellington at 10.30 p.m. WESTMEATH TO-DAY. The liner Westmeath (8129 tons), now en route from Port Chalmers, is expected to arrive at New Plymouth at 7 o'clock this I morning. The vessel loads dairy produce at .this port for the United Kingdom. KAHIKA’S MOVEMENTS. The Kahika, from New Plymouth via Dunedin, Oainaru, and Timaru, is due at Wellington about Sunday, and will go on to Nelson and New Plymouth, being due here next THE KAIAPOI. The Union Company advises that the Kaiapoi, from Adelaide and Melbourne, via Auckland, will not now reach Wellington until Saturday. SHAW-SAVILL ADVICES. Movements of units of the Shaw-Savill fleet The Arawa, en route from Southampton to Wellington and Auckland, cleared Balboa on December 18. The vessel is now due at Wellington on January 10. The Mahana, which left Liverpool on November 19 for New Zealand ports, Is due at Auckland on Tuesday next. Upon completion of discharge at the northern port the vessel will visit Wellington, ’where she should arrive on January 2. C. AND D. MOVEMENTS. The Port Chalmers is expected to arrive in the Dominion about the end of January from Sydney to load for New York. Her departure for New York and Boston has been arranged for February 20. The Verentia left Auckland at noon on Tuesday, and is expected to reach Wellington to-morrow morning. The Port Albany is now due at Auckland from London on Christmas Day, and will later go to Wellington to complete discharge. She is then to load on the coast for London, sailing finally at the end of January. 1 The next vessel to be dispatched from London will be the Port Bowen, which is to sail on January 12 for Lyttelton and Dunedin. KARAMU CHANGES HANDS. According to the Dunedin correspondent of the Christchurch Press the Union Company’s steamer Karamu has been purchased by the Canterbury Steamship Company. The vessel, which has been on ti e lay-up berth at Port Chalmers for several weeks, is now undergoing an extensive overhaul preparatory to entering the coastal trade. The Karamu is of 934 tons gross register. MAPOURIKA TO BE RE-NAMED. The ferry steamer Mapourika, which was recently purchased from the Union Company by the Anchor Company, is to be re-named the Ngaio. The Mapourika will be re-com-tnissioned, and is listed to leave Nelson on January 9, Inaugurating the new service between that port anU Wellington. Captain W. A. Wildman, sen., formerly of the Kaitoa, will have command of the vessel. SHIPPING TELEGRAMS. ARRIVED. Sydney, December 21.—Fiona, from New Zealand.
