SCULLING.

NEW SOUTH WALES CHAMPIONSHIP. By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright. Received Dec. 18, 5.5 p.m. Sydney, Dec. 18. In the return match for the New South Wales sculling championship D. W. Ripley (challenger) defeated W. McDevitt (holder). When the mile was rMssed Ripley was leading by five lengths, and at the mile and a half he settled down to a steady swing, and increased his lead to ten lengths. McDevitt could make no impression upon him, and from then on Ripley increased his lead and won with the greatest ease by twenty lengths. The time was 24 minutes. The weather was fine, and the scullers kept a straight course throughout.
