ECONOMY IN BRITAIN.
AVOIDING NATIONAL BANKRUPTCY. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright London, Dec. 16. The Geddes Commission unanimously agreed to recommend economies amounting to £195,000,000. which are considered essential to avoid the danger of national bankruptcy. The commission did not touch old age pensions but a large saving was made at the Admiralty, while army economies amounted to £20,000,900.
