UNEMPLOYMENT PROBLEM.

THE ECONOMIC ASPECT. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, Dec. 16. Replying to a Labor deputation regarding unemployir/ent, on -behalf of which Mr. J. R. Clynes pointed out that there was no unemployment in France and Germany, Mr. Lloyd George stated the conditions were different in those two countries. Dr. Rathenau told him that there must be an absolute collapse in Germany soon if present conditions continued.

Mr. Lloyd George declared that if we copied Germany’s example the improvement might last two or three years, but ultimately unemployment would amount to five or six millions and the value of earned money would decrease enormously.
