THE ARBITRATION COURT.
WORKERS’ REPRESENTATIVE. RESIGNATION OF MR. MeOULIXtUGH By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright - Wellington, Last -Night. It is understood the resignation of Mr. McCullough, the workers’ representative on the Arbitration. Court, has been r’eceiyed by the Government to take effect before Christmas. The unions of workers have not yet been asked to forward nominations for the appointment of a successor, although several names are mentioned in this connection, including those of Messrs. J. T. Paul (Dunedin), T. Bloodwqrth (Auckland). C. Renn (Christchurch), and W. T. Young (Wellington). It is not known whether Mr. Young, who is secretary to the Federated Seamen’s Union, will consent to nomination, but Mr. Paul has intimated that he will not be a candidate for the position. The Alliance of Labor will probably meet shortly to consider the question of recommending a successor to Mr. McCullough.
