MINING DISPUTE.

MEETING OF FEDERATION. NO ANNOUNCEMENT MADE. * By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Matters in connection with the strike at the various coal mines in the Dominion- were discussed at a special meeting of the executive of the Miners’ Federation. The meeting so far has nothing for publication. STATE MINE IDLE. Greymouth, Dec. 12. The State mine is idle to-day owing to the men’s refusal to sign an agreement based on the recent award. Negotiations are proceeding. The Blackball miners started at 6 a.m. and stopped at 7 o’clock. The Paparoa miners are working. , Dunedin, Dec. 12. The men in numbers 1 and 2, Christie’s, Green Island mines have resumed work. The Taratu men apparently await the result of the Miners’ Federation Conference in Wellington.
