INGLEWOOD TOURNAMENT. Residents of the Inglewood district are evincing keen interest in the boxing tournament which is to be held in the Inglewood Town Hall on Thursday evening. It is the first boxing tournament to be held there, and promises to oe a particularly good one. In the contestants for the professional contest the association have been fortunate in obtaining a pair of clever, forceful fighters, each of whom is anxious to get to the top rank of his class, and so can be relied on to be “all out.” Both Graham and Greaves arrived in New Plymouth yesterday and were met at the boat by officials of the association. Eacl’ gave an exhibition in the Workers' Hall yesterday, and impressed onlookers by their action. To-day they will go to Inglewood by the morning train, and will remain at that town until after the bout. They will be seen sparring with local amateurs at different tbines in one of the halls, which has been placed at their disposal. The five amateur bouts which constitute tire preliminaries should also, provide good contests, and additional interest centres ip these, as some local men will be appearing. Mr. A. Maxwell, Qf Wellington, will be referee. The box olan is now open at Sutherlands.
