NEW YEAR TOURNAMENT. The Taranaki Bowling Centre will hold New Year tournament as usual on the New Plymouth, West End and Fitzroy greens <>n January 2 and 3. Entries are confined to members of clubs affiliated to the Taranaki Centre. Section games will be of 16 heads and semi-finals and final 21 heads. Sections will have to be won outright, an extra seven heads being played in case of ties. Play will commence at 9 a.m. eacl: day. The entry fee will be 16s per rink. Trophies will be awarded winners and runners-up. Entries will close with tiie secretaries to the centre (Messrs. A. T. Moore and F. J. Hill) at 8.30 p.m. on December 22.
