| DOMINION CHAMPIONSHIPS. FIRST DAY’S RESULTS. - By Telegraph—Press Association. Christchurch, Last Night. The New Zealand amateur athletic championship meeting opened to-day in dull weather. No records were broken, but several standards were gained. Already Wellington are well ahead for the championship shield with 34 points, Auckland and Canterbury each having scored 10, and Otago 2. For the Queensland jubileecommemoration shield for the most points in records and standards, Wellington have i.wo points and Canterbury and Auckland one each.
