LONDON TO AUSTRALIA. IMPORTANT EXPERIMENTS. By Telegraoh.—Pr«»ss Assn—copyright. Received Dec. 6, 8.5 p.m. Melbourne, Dee. 6. Further experimental direct wireless Press messages have been received. One from the London office of the Australian Press Association, to t>he head office in Australia was sent from the Marconi trans-Atlantic station at Carnarvon to the long distance receiving station established by the Amalgamated Wireless. Limited, at Koowerup, Victoria. The message, which had been previously cabled, was despatched at eight o'clock in the evening Greenwich time and was instantaneously received at the equivalent Victorian time. Later a lengthy experimental message containing a number of newspaper extracts was received by the Postmaster-General from the British Post Office terminal station at Leafield, near Oxford, and intercepted by the Perth radio.—Aus.-N.Z.
