BOWLING.
INGLEWOOD v. STRATFORD. Representative rinks of the Inglewood Bowling Club are to meet the Stratford Club's representatives at Stratford to-morrow in a match for the association’s banner. The fol lowing five rinks have been selected ro represent Inglewood:—T. Drake, Rees, McLaggan, Wilson (s) ; Simcock, Raynor, Surrey, F. Spurdie (s) ; Martin, A. Drake. Frewin, Henry (s) ; Manby, S. O. Spurdie, Olson, Longbottom (s) ; Winter, Lealand, Esse, Leslie (s). At the Opunake green on Saturday a fourrink match was played between tte Auroa and local clubs, the visitors winning by 21 points, the totals being Auroa 99, Opunake 78. The last batch of Now Zealand bowlers to return from the tour of the Old Country reached Auckland last week by the Niagara. They were: Mr. G. S. Gordon and wife, Wanganui; Mr. J. P. Smith, Napier; Mr. W. Efford and wife, Rangiora ; Mr. A. P. London, Wanganui ;■ Mr. J. N. Johnson and wife. New Plymouth; Mr. E. S. Peglar and wife, Auckland ; and Mr. H. J. Bray and wife and daughter, Auckland. The majority of the party travelled tome via New York.
