PREMISES RENOVATED. The progressive business man is keen to realise the value of a bright frontage as an asset in the display of goods, for the prospective purchaser appreciates appearance and convenience of premises, as well as quality in the goods he is seeking. To keep pace with a growing business. Which numbers in its patrons customers from all (Arts of Taranaki, the Modern Tailors Ltd., have recently altered and renovated their New Plymouth premises, which now present an illustration of an up-to-date shop. Incidentally it is also an indication of their faith in the town, and this is. not belied judging by the report of the manager, who states that steady and increasing business has been experienced. The alterations have been carried out on an attractive design, and the new plate glass windows on a marble base, and overhanging verandah, equalling a citv shop front. The interior of the shop has been refitted, especial attention having been devoted to this, to enable the firm to handle the retailing of their new branch —mercery and gents’ outfitting. The furnishings are in rima, commodious counters of this material having been installed, while neat show cases and roomy cabinets have also been acquired for the carrying of stock in the best condition. Prismatic glass plates provide splendid lighting throughout the shop in approved modern style. I An extra fitting room has been provided with the idea of further catering for the convenience of . patrons. It is tastefully furnished, and will no doubt be appreciated by all who have occasion to visit the Modern premises. Office accommodation has also come within the remodelling scheme, in addition to the provision of a small lift for the convenience of handling materials from the workroom. The alterations were carried out by Alessrs. Jones and Sandford.
