AFTER ELEVEN YEARS. After eleven years, Peter McMasters, Alias Hall, alias McMahon, has been I brought back to the bar to answer an old crime. Before the Wellington Magi istrate’s Court on Monday, McMasters I was charged with being a person who • had entered a plea of guilty to a charge lof the theft of 12s tki from the person of George Cooper, on February 4, 1910. 'Before Mr. W. G. Riddell, S.M., on the ’ 9th of that month he had been commit.ted to the Supreme Court for sentence ion February 21, and bail was allowed in | the sum of ;E(io, which was deposited. ■McMasters then disappeared, and has (remained =at large ever since until yesI'terday, when he came up on the charge of absconding from hail.
