IRELAND’S POPULATION.
CONTINUES TO DECLINE, By Telegraph.—Press Assn—Copyright London, Nov. 28. The population of Ireland continues to decline. In 1921 it totalled 4,485,000, including the Army and Navy. The birth ' rate was 22.2, compared with 20 in the preceding year. The death rate was 14.8, the lowest on record.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
