It has been found necessary to alter the Stratford Bowling teams for the banner match, as Eltham has entered five rinks. The Stratford teams will be as follow-: Patterson, Carryer, Salmon, Herries (s) ; Sanderson, Martin, Hillock, Lyons (s) ; Porritt, McPherson, Songster, McDonald (s); White, Butcher, A. A. Thompson, J. S. McDonald (s) ; Finlay, Smart, McMillan, Cottier (s). Colts’ rink: Hunt, Jones, Clarke, W. H. H. Young (s). At the Avon green on Saturday a match will be played between Stratford and Avon. The following will represent Stratford: White, Roche, Curtis, Allen (s) ; Fopkes, C. Thompson, Paterson, Harris (s) ; Carman, Woodhead, Smart, Sangster (s). BURGLARY AT MIDHIRST. Last night the Midhirst Co-operative Dairy Factory’s store was broken into, and a small sum of money was taken. It is reported that the burglar entered the store through a window. An Albufi Portable Typewriter and carrying case for seven pounds is offered by Wilson Bros., Broadway, Stratford ; also a new Corona—the last word in portable typewriters —for seventeen pounds. Call early and see these machines.
