Rubber.—Fine hard Para 14%d per lb.; plantation, first latex crepe, 10 7-8 d; smoked ribbed sheet, 10 7-Bd. Jute.—Market quiet. Native first marks November-December shipment, £24 per ton. New Zealand temp inactive, October-December shipment, £36. Copra.—Steadier owing to smaller offerings. South Sea bagged, November-January shipment, £25 5s per ton. Linseed 0i1.—£27 10s per ton, equal to 2s 2%d a gallon. Turpentine.—7os 6d per cwt., equal to 5s 4d a gallon. WOOL SALES. London, Nov. 25. At the mixed wool sale there was rather a quieter tone for merinos, the selection of which was Indifferent. Best sorts were firm, but faulty, and carbonising lots were irregular, and occasionally in the buyers’ favour. There was good Home and Continental demand for crossbreds, and medium and low qualities continue to show a hardening tendency. The New Zealand clip branded “Panikan” sold, and made up to average 6%d. There is an unconfirmed rumour current that a contract tas been signed in Berlin by an Australian syndicate to sell 200,000 bales to Germany. SMITHFIELD MARKET. LAST WEEK’S QUOTATIONS. Messrs. M. A. Eliott, Ltd. (Palmerston North) have received cable advice from Messrs. Gilbert, Anderson and Co., Ltd., London, of the following Smithfield prices for lhe week ended November 26: Canterbury lamb, under 361 b., 7y 2 d; 361 b. to 421 b., 7&d; 421 b. to 561 b., 7d. Best North Island lamb, under 361 b., 7*4d; ordinary, under 361 b., 7d. Canterbury wethers and maiden ewes, 481 b. to •561 b.. 5%d; 561 b. to 641 b., not quoted; 641 b. to 721 b., 4%d. Best North Island wethers and maiden ewes, 561 b. to 641 b., 5%d. Ordinary North Island wethers, 561 b. to 641 b., sd; North Island ewes, 481 b. to 641 b., 4 x Ad; New Zealand prime beef (equal fores and hinds), 1661 b. to 2201 b., 4 5-Bd. The foregoing prices are on a delivered basis. BUTTER AND CHEESE. i LONDON MARKET REPORT. The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Ltd., have received the following cablegram from their London house, under date November 25: Butter.—New Zealand Government, first grade, market firmer (last quotation £9 18s to £lO per cwt.). Cheese. —-White, £5 8s per cwt., colored £ 5 4s per cwt.; market steady.
