Or dera for papers may also be left with them. OBITUARY. Nov. 28. The death occurred on Saturday evening of an old and widely-respected Stratford resident in the person of Mrs. E. Fitzgerald, relict of the late Mr. John Fitzgerald. Mrs. Fitzgerald was born in Ballarat in 18G2, and went with her parents to the west coast 01 the South Island. The family removed to Ash barton, where she married the late Mr. John Fitzgerald. After being -for some years in Palmerston North, Mr. and Mrs. Fitzgerald came to Stratford, and took over the Empire HoteJ. where for twelve years they held the respect and goodwill of all with whom the>' came in contact. Tn 1913 they retired and resided in Page Street. Mr. Fitzgerald passed away about six or seven years ago. Mrs. Fitzgerald had been ailing for some months, and the end was not altogether unexpected. The funeral will leave the Catholic Church at 2 p.m. tomorrow (Tuesday), for the Kopuatama Cemetery. GENERAL. Au event of interest to tennis players will take place on Thursday afternoon, when the new Methodist courts will be opened. The following will represent the Stratford Bowling Club in a match against Eltham, at Eltham on Thursday: Porritt, McPherson: Hillock, Harries ; Sanderson, Finlay, A. A.
