A RECOVERY OF TRADE. GOOD FUTURE PROSPECT!. By Tdegraph— Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Tn a statement made to-day, the Minister of Agriculture gives interesting details of the meat export trade. The total exported to the United Kingdom for the year ended October 31 was: Beef quarters, 789,893; mutton carcases, 5,392,841; lamb carcases 5,129,908. Stocks on hand. —Beef quarters 114,? 714; mutton carcases 261,7*w; lamb car T cases 354,000, equal to a total of 772,4 000 sixty-pound further carcases of all classes of meat, compared with a total of 3J million carcases held this time last year. The export figures include New Zealand meat (estimated) transferred from the United States to Great Britain during the period, with the killings and stock on hand (estimated) available for export this year: Beef quarters 414,7*21; mutton careases 2,201,746; lamb carcases, 3,954,200. This is a substantial reduction on last year’s figures.
