EVERYBODY’S. “THE INTRUSION OF LSOBEL.” Mary Miles Minter, the dainty and popular favorite, is starred in “The Intrusion of Isobel,”* the starring vehicle at Everybody’s this week. This is a thoroughly amusing comedy drama of a girl and her brother who come to New York tQ earn a living. The brother only succeeds in getting a position as valet to a wealthy young man about town, and the temptation of his position succeeds in getting the better of him. One day he decamps with a bank roll that does not belong to him. He had told his sister that he was in partnership with the man for whonj he was working, and she, when her brother went away, went to live in “her brother’s half of the house.” Of course the predicaments that arise out of the happenings are dramatic and not a little amusing, and they give the star an opportunity of doing some of her finest work. Tliere is a very string supporting cast in the story. The bill includes gazettes, comedy an'd “The Invisible Hand.” THE PEOPLE’S. MAY ALLISON IN “EXTRAVAGANCE.” To-night’s change at the People’s presents popular May Allison in her big six-reel “Metro” special produjetion, “Extravagance.” “Extravagance” is a scintillating society' drama of a silkensouled wife whose young and foolish husband thought she must have every- , thing she wanted. A swim in a dinner gown that cost three times her allowance, after a party she couldn’t afford*to give, in a house her husband couldn’t afford to pay for, was but one of Nancy Vane’s thoughtlessly perverse escapades. The bill includes gazettes, comedy and “The Diamond Queen.” “BILLETED.” FINAL PERFORMANCE TO-NIGHT. Another crowded house greeted the splendid comedy “Billeted” at the Empire Theatre last night. The Boys’ High School orchestra was in. splendid form and thoroughly deserved the prolonged applause. All the artists entered into the spirit of the play with a vim that was thoroughly appreciated by the large audience. All played their parts extremely well and it would be difficult to single out one for special mention. During the evening beautiful bouquets were presented to the lady members, and a good many would have liked to ’have seen the inside of the parcel presented to the canny bank manager. The comedy will be played again to-night.
