FIRES.
SADDLERY FACTORY DAMAGED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Nov. 21. A fire in High Street on Saturday night caused extensive damage in the Hall of Commerce and premises occupied by N. Langdale and Co.. Ltd., saddlery manufactures. The damage is covered by insurances in the United and Standard offices. The origin of the fire is a mystery. The fire damaged the stock of Langdale and Company. to the extent of .€6OOO to £7OOO. The insurances are United £ll,200, Standard £l2OO, The building was not damaged. STORES DESTROYED. Invercargill, Nov. 21. A fire at Winton early on Sunday morning destroyed M‘William Bros.’ oil store. Cole’s saddlery store. Kennedy’s joinery workshop. Pittendrigh’s bulk store and Hamilton's stables, in which it originated. The damage is estimated at £1500; the insurances are £6OO.
