YOUNG GIRL DROWNED.
NO HELP AVAILABLE By Telegraph—Press Association. Napier, Last Night. While bathing in the Tutaekuri River on Sunday evening a twelve-year-old girl named Mavis Enid Greatbatch was drowned. It was some minutes before people at the scene were able to attract men who could swim, and the body was under water for four minute? before it Was located and brought to the surface.
