EVERYBODY'S. “THE WOMAN MICHAEL .MARRIED.” “The Woman Michael Married,” concluding to-night, at Eyerybody’s, stars Bessie Barriscale in a society drama. The production is notable for its beautiful settings. Miss Barriscale runs the gamut of fine feathers, and is seen in some gorgeous creations from milady’s lingerie to the. last word in bathing suits. As the professional swimmer she appears to the best advantage. Jack Holt is the attractive leading man, and a well-known cast is in support. The bill Includes gazettes, comedy and “The Lost "City.” The matinee to-day commences at 2 p.m. THE PEOPLE’S. ELAINE HAMMERSTEIN IN ‘"CHE MIRACLE OF MANHATTAN.” Elaine Hammerstein, whose delineations of the best type of womanhood have established, her as one of the favorite stars of the silent arf, has. in her latest Selznick picture, “The' Miracle of Manhattan,” which will be presented at ihe People’s Theatre to-day, a role which makes more demands upon her ability than any part she has hitherto essayed. As the somewhat, self-opinioned young ? society woman who is suddenly plunged ( into a phase of life and surroundings i hat. are entirely foreign to her, _Vliss Hammerstein is enabled to depict a series of subtle changes of character that at once stamp her as a supreme artist. rh e bill includes gazettes, comedy, and opening of the Selznick wonder mystery serial “The Branded Four.” The matinee to-day commences at 2 p.m. EVERYBODY’S. “THE VICTIM.” NEXT MONDAY AND TUESDAY. Extraordinary interest is being manifested in the Catholic Art Association’s production of the true story of Father Cosgrove, “The Victim,” to coilimence at Everybody’s on Monday next. This story, based' entirely on facts, graphically* telle the exciting and gripping events that befall the parish priest, who is found guilty of a murder and sentenced to death, yet, though innocent, he will not break ‘his vows and speak, .and goes to his death with a prayer to his Maker to forgive. The thrilling race with death on the part of- a tender but heroic girl, who is racing at risk of life and limb, against time, with his reprieve, only adds to the wonderful intensity of the final scenes, as the execution is taking, place. Truth that is stranger, and far more exciting, than fiction is here evidenced, in a picture that, for sheer grip and intensity of interest, has seldom, if ever, been equalled.
