The butter trade, is rather better. “Free” Australian butter is selling well. The finest Victorian unealted is quoted at 196/- to 200/-, good fine 180’/- to 190/-, finest salted 180/- to 184/-, good fine 160/- to 170/-; Queensland salted 176/- to 180/-, good fine 155/- to 165/-. New Zealand butter is unchanged. The cheese market is firmer. New Zealand cheese is practically cleared, buyers taking it in preference to Canadian, which has advanced considerably and is quoted at 96/- to 116/-.
